Metrics management
Metrics are calculated by the packs and stored in the platform's relational database. They are used to generate analysis reports, dashboards and tickets.
Frequency of calculation
The packs are executed by the agents on demand, via the command line, or thanks to a routine, configured in the web interface.
To guarantee optimum performance, it is recommended to limit the frequency of metrics calculation to the frequency of source data updates.
A database, registered as a source, which is updated weekly, does not need to calculate metrics more than once a week.
Calculation window
Metrics are calculated over a time window, which depends on the calculation time required for the pack, and is directly linked to the source's volume.
To optimize performance, it is essential to define a calculation time window adapted to the source's volume.
